An ISU report drawn up in 2020 indicates the irregularities found at the Crevedia company during the inspection that took place that year. Firefighters found that the company was using non-approved pumps and the legal distance from houses and power lines was not respected. The situations were reported to seven institutions, according to a document obtained exclusively by Digi24.

The ISU report shows that numerous irregularities at that company. Firefighters who went to check in 2020 found non-approved pumps that company employees used to move gas from one tank to another.
The company’s directors also did not comply with safety regulations. Tanks and supply lines were very close to power lines and people’s homes. Thus, in relation to the power lines, it was supposed to be 10 meters, but in reality it was only 6 meters. The distance from the houses should have been 8 meters, but in reality the distance was only 2.8 meters.
Additionally, firefighters found leaking fuel pumps.
These were the reasons why the fire safety permit was withdrawn.
Two months after the lifting of the authorization, the firemen came again to control and the suspension of the company’s activity was ordered.
The report says that the employers have notified all state institutions that they are no longer working there.
The irregularities were reported by firefighters to seven state institutions, including Crevedia City Hall, Dâmbovița County Council, Dâmbovița Prefect. After three years, the tragedy happened.
The company from Dâmbovița county, whose LPG tanks exploded, is owned by the son of the mayor of Caracal. The mayor confirmed the information and, at one point, also said that his son is already in contact with the prosecutors.
In ten years, the turnover of this company increased 500 times.
