The songs of the new album “Jauni” were created for the first time together with studio producer Gati Zaķi, as well as music producer Aldi Zaļuksni.
The author of the music and lyrics of all the songs of “Jauni” is Juris Kaukulis, the musicians of “Iron Wolf” participated in the creation and recording of the musical fabric: Juris Kaukulis, Mārcis Judzis, Kaspars Tobis and Kārlis Alviķis. Sound post-processing – Gatis Zaķis. The author of the album artwork is Rūta Kaukule, design – Viesturs Stanislavskis.
Two of the compositions from the new album “Iron Wolf” are already well known to listeners: “It’s not the end” (2019) became the title song of the film “Class Reunion” and was viewed more than half a million times on Youtube .
but the song “Glaze” (2020) has become an integral part of the concerts of “Iron Wolf”. The new song “Tu negaiðiji rītu” is the third single from the album “Jauni”, which also contains a music video.
“I started brainstorming song ideas for the album as early as three years ago or even earlier, but especially intensely this year.
During the changes, while writing songs, I observed a new world, new generations, and recorded impressions in the clash between the new and the old.
The time without concerts proved to be grateful for the collection of ideas, but much remained behind the line: only those that passed the group’s collective filter made it to the album.
