The tour will take place on the occasion of the band’s 50th anniversary. He therefore promises a special setlist that will include songs from nine studio albums, from Iron Maiden’s debut (1980) to Fear Of The Dark (1992). He also prepares an elaborate spectacle.
Lead singer Bruce Dickinson says: “This will be a tour that will put a smile on your face and a cheer in your throat. If you’ve seen us before, get ready to take the experience to a whole new level. If you’ve never seen us before, what the hell are you waiting for? Now’s your chance to find out what you’ve been missing.”
Manager Rod Smallwood adds: “Fifty years of Maiden, and I’ve seen forty-six of them. With more than one hundred million albums sold and almost two and a half thousand concerts in sixty-four countries of the world and countless millions of fans.”
