Mexican actress and politician Irma Serrano, better known as ‘La Tigresa’, died at the age of 89, as confirmed by the National Association of Interpreters. The causes have not yet been disclosed.

Who was Irma Serrano?
The one born in December 1933 in Chiapas, he began his career as a singer after signing a recording contract with Columbia Records, but his name also began to be part of films such as Santo against the zombieswith which he debuted in 1962.
Although he also dabbled in plays, he was followed by film titles such as The tigress (1973), Martina (1972), cabaret nights (1978), Lola the trailer (1983) y The lovers of the night lord (1986).
In the nineties he began a career in Mexican politics as deputy and senator in Chiapas representing the Institutional Revolutionary Party and later for the Party of the Democratic Revolution, although she also opted for independence. In 2018 she supported the campaign of Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The actress recounted in her book tied shorts who was the lover of former Mexican President Gustavo Díaz Ordaz during his government between 1964 and 1970, for which he revealed that he was attracted to his intellect and personality.
In her personal life, she was also related to Patricio ‘Pato’ Zambrano and ‘Poncho’ De Nigris; It was the latter who dedicated a message to her by remembering her as “a mop from her time” and wished her to fly high. “To remember her with a tequila as she liked.
