Irish singer Rocina Murphy will perform at the Palladium Concert Hall in May next year.
Riga, September 24, LETA. Irish singer and Mercury Prize nominee Rosina Murphy will perform at the Palladium Concert Hall on May 7 next year, Positivus Press informed LETA.
The organizers of the event noted that the artist will visit Riga during her latest album “Róisķn Machine”. Tickets for the event are available in the “Ticket Service” network.
Positivus Press said Murphy is an Irish singer, songwriter and record producer who gained popularity in the 1990s as a member of the electronic music duo Moloko. After the breakup of “Moloko”, Murphy began his solo career and in 2005 released his debut solo album “Ruby Blue”.
Her second solo album “Overpowered” was released in 2007 and after an eight-year hiatus, in 2015, the artist’s third album “Hairless Toys” was released, which was nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Award and the Irish Choice Music Record Award. The following year, Murphy released his fourth album, “Take Her Up to Monto.” The prestigious British edition “NME” has named the artist the queen of dance music.
Positivus Press noted that last autumn the artist released her fifth studio album “Róisķn Machine”, which is a special collection of songs created over a period of ten years and recognized as the artist’s best record since the release of her debut album. The album was co-produced with DJ Parrot, also known as Crooked Man. In the new album, the Irish singer combines electronic soul music with disco.
One of Murphy’s latest projects is her YouTube channel, which features performance art, live performances and an extravagant image of the artist. The latest album is called “Róisķn Machine”, because the artist considers herself a machine that never stops.
Tickets for the May 7 concert in the “Palladium” concert hall are available in the “Biļešu servisa” network.
