Irish political party People Before Profit will boycott US president Joe Biden’s historic speech to the Dáil due to its objections to his foreign policy. The party’s four TDs will instead stage a protest outside the GPO in Dublin on Wednesday. People Before Profit cited Mr Biden’s record on Palestine, Iraq, and Nato expansion – as well as the “absence of opportunity for Dáil parties to ask questions”. If an opportunity for all Dail parties and groupings to make statements or ask questions after the president’s speech was offered, People Before Profit said it would attend.
