Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch, a veteran crime boss from Dublin, was recently cleared of murder after being arrested in 2021 at Limoncello, his favourite restaurant in the Spanish seaside resort of Fuengirola. The arrest led to an influx of Irish tourists enquiring about the night of Hutch’s arrest. Staff member Marlena Pelarea reminisced about the night and welcomed Hutch back to the restaurant, encouraging him to finish his pizza. It is believed that Hutch was hiding out in Fuengirola for several months before his arrest, keeping a low profile and leading a monastic life. Hutch is expected to travel to Spain again after spending over a year in custody at Wheatfield Prison in Dublin.
Irish crime boss Mr Hutch has been cleared of murder and a restaurant in Spain, Limoncello, where he was previously arrested, is welcoming him back. Mr Hutch had been hiding out in an apartment in Fuengirola before his arrest. Staff at Limoncello have reported receiving inquiries from Irish tourists about the night he was arrested, and are urging him to return to the restaurant.
