Iringal Sargalaya International Handicraft Fair starts tomorrow Iringal Sargalaya International Handicraft Fair starts tomorrow

Paioli (Kozhikode): The International Handicraft Fair at Iringal Sargalaya, the largest handicraft fair in South India, will start on Thursday. The fair was successfully held for nine consecutive years until 2019, suspended for the last two years due to Covid. The organizers informed at the press conference that the preparations for a successful trade fair have been completed this time.

Thursday at 16 the Minister PA Mohammad Riaz will inaugurate. Kanath Jamila ML A. will preside. More than 500 artisans from 10 foreign countries and 26 states of India will participate in the fair. More than two lakh people are expected to attend the fair in 19 days. The fair will end on January 9th.

The organizers also informed that a parking system has been set up for up to 540 vehicles at the same time. The handicraft fair is organized under the guidance of the Central Tourism – Textile – Handicraft Department, the State Tourism Department and Nabardin.

In the press conference, Paioli Municipality President Vadakkail Shafiq, Councilor Ashraf Kottakal, Sargalaya CEO PP Bhaskaran, General Manager TK Rajesh, Hospitality Manager MT Suresh Babu, Coordinator KK Shivdasan also attended.
