Suara.com – Ireland teamed up with Ubisoft to use Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to promote the country’s tourism sector. Some locations in Ireland can be visited directly in the game.
“Ubisoft has done a great job bringing this aspect of Celtic Ireland to life in incredible detail,” said Mark Henry, Tourism Ireland’s Central Marketing Director, who works closely with Ubisoft.
The storyline of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla itself starts from a place called Wrath of the Druids. The main character Eivor will cross the ocean to start a new adventure in Ireland.
Several locations in the northwestern European country will be shown in the game such as Dublin, Benbulben, Giant’s Causeway, and Hill of Tara. The promotional video also compares in-game locations to real ones in Ireland.

“This campaign is a fun and innovative way to bring Ireland to a new level of attention for gamers,” he added.
Furthermore, Henry admitted that Tourism Ireland wanted to provide more information to gamers about the best locations in Ireland. He hopes this can inspire them to come and explore it firsthand in the real world.
This collaboration is believed to be able to encourage gamers to see first hand the location of Valhalla in the Irish region. This concept is also considered smart because it can increase tourism promotion in the midst of the lockdown policy implemented during the Covid-19 pandemic.
