A large police force has been deployed at the scene of the attack and police vehicles and emergency are in the area, according to images transmitting Irish media.
According to the Irish Times, the suspected perpetrator launched the attack using a household knife and injured “up to four people”, while the newspaper Independent spoke of “many” victims.
The attack occurred in the Stoibter area in the eastern part of the Irish capital. The police estimate at this stage is that this is not a terrorist attack, the Irish Times said.
