Iraq’s Hezbollah Brigades Denies Resuming Attacks on American Forces as US Coalition Responds to Missile Launchers

A Telegram statement issued to the Brigades early on Monday said they had resumed attacks on American forces due to the lack of significant progress in talks aimed at withdrawing American forces during a visit by the Prime Minister Iraq on Washington.

A US official said a coalition fighter destroyed a missile launcher in self-defense after reports of a failed missile attack near a coalition base in Syria, adding that no American soldiers were injured.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that explosions occurred at the Kharab al-Jir base in the country of Hasakah, which is used by American forces as a base, as a result of the fall of missiles launched by groups called “Islamic Resistance” with the support of . by Iran on the base area, amid a ground defense effort to counter targets in the sky, without receiving information about human casualties inside the base.

This comes the day after Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani returned from a visit to the United States, when he met with President Joe Biden at the White House.
