ERBIL – Disillusioned and broke, many hundreds of Iraqi Kurds have returned from Belarus this week on repatriation flights. They gave up everything to reach Europe, hoping for a better life, but stranded on the border with Poland, where they were used as pawns in a geopolitical joust.
