The investigation department of the Iraqi Integrity Commission announced the disappearance of 120 billion Iraqi dinars (82.9 million dollars) from the income of a company of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in the governorate of Babylon (center).
The department said in a statement released by the Iraqi News Agency on Monday evening that the missing amount disappeared in the period between September 2017 and September 2022.
The same source reported that the total revenue amounted to 305.3 billion dinars ($210.5 million), while all expenses, according to conjectural data, amounted to around 185.1 billion dinars. ($127.6 million).

In that same year, the Integrity Commission said that 11,605 civil servants, including 54 ministers, were “involved in corruption”.
Two years ago, Iraq announced that an amount of 150 billion dollars was illicitly transferred abroad in corrupt transactions between 2003 and 2020.
