Irapuato annex. Massacre in the Irapuato annex; command kills 24

IRAPUATO.

Amid the violence that has intensified in the state of Guanajuato, 30 people were killed and three more were seriously injured after the irruption of an armed group at an addicts rehabilitation center in the community of Arandas, in Irapuato.

The events occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. on Calle Lerdo. The group of assassins arrived in a red vehicle. After entering the building, he ordered the patients to drop to the ground face down and in line, then shoot them. The entire room of the building was filled with bodies.

The annex worked in a house in black construction, but with the name Recovering My Life. The place lacks operating permits.

Visibly shocked, Irapuato’s Secretary of Citizen Security, Pedro Cortez Zavala, reported the events and added that many of the addicts held there had fled on their own, as some had relatives near there.

“Four wounded were taken by ambulance,” they died receiving medical attention, “others apparently left on their own. Seven injured and 30 people without life ”.

The municipal official indicated that the assassins did not take anyone, as had happened on other occasions.

Among the mud and puddles caused by the last rains at that unpaved point, relatives and friends of the victims, as well as curious people, approached the place of the massacre to find out what had happened.

Relatives of the fatalities pleaded with the authorities to let them see them.

“My older brother was attached. As soon as they had attached it, he was 44 years old, ”lamented one of the victims’ relatives, who commented that there were some 40 people detained. The payment for care was 400 pesos per week.

“I had hardly come and I saw my brother calm. He did give me a bad feeling, but I said that it was what God said, because it was my cousin who brought my brother to be cured. One already brings them knowing that nothing else can be done. I wanted him to go to a rehabilitation center, but it is out of our reach, they charged us 35 thousand pesos for 45 days, but we couldn’t, ”said the young man, who claimed the lack of information about what happened.

Dozens of municipal and state police units arrived, as well as the National Guard and the Mexican Army, as well as Red Cross and Civil Protection ambulances.
