Iranian Economy Minister Ehsan Khandouzi said on Wednesday that Iranian foreign trade has reached $112 billion during the past nine months, adding that the figure shows an increase of more than 7% compared to the same period last year.

According to Iranian news agencies, Khandouzi added that Iranian Customs published for the first time the volume of foreign trade with the publication of figures for exports of oil, electricity, and technical and engineering services.

He continued that Iranian oil exports during the past nine months (which are the first nine months of the Iranian year) amounted to $26.460 billion, adding that Iranian exports during this period increased imports by $15 billion.

He stressed that Iranian oil and non-oil exports amounted to more than 63 billion dollars, while the volume of imports reached more than 48 billion dollars during the same period.

For his part, Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of Customs, Mohammad Rezvanifar, said that during the nine months, Iran exported technical and engineering services worth $780 million, in addition to exporting electricity worth $300 million, as well as exporting natural gas amounting to $2.7 billion, and exporting broyan (converter). of liquid gas) worth two billion and 300 million dollars, and methanol worth one billion and 700 million dollars, according to Tasnim Agency.

Likewise, the five main destinations for Iranian exports were as follows: China topped it with a value of 10 billion and 300 million dollars, followed by Iraq with 6 billion and 900 million dollars, then the UAE ranked third with 4 billion and 700 million dollars, Turkey with 33 billion and 300 million dollars, and India with 1 billion and 700 million dollars. Dollar took fifth place.

Iranian imports increased during the past nine months by 12.29%, reaching $48 billion and 420 million.

The head of Iranian customs said that the UAE topped the countries supplying Iran by exporting goods worth $15 billion during the nine months, followed by China with $133 billion and 700 million, then Turkey with $5 billion and 300 million, Germany with $1 billion and 600 million, and India with $1 billion and 400 million.

Rezvanfar added that Iranian petrochemical exports during the past nine months have reached $15 billion, which shows an increase of 26.52% in weight and a decrease in value of 11.84% due to the decline in prices of chemical commodities in the world.
