Iran’s attack has begun – Dozens of drones towards Israel – 2024-04-14 11:21:37

The Revolutionary Guards announced that they had launched dozens of drones and missiles targeting specific points in Israel, Iranian state media reported.

The Israeli military confirmed, for its part, that drones are headed for Israel, stating that the IDF is on full alert. The Iranian media notes, however, that this is a huge attack against Israel.

US and allied warplanes will reportedly try to neutralize the Iranian drones before they reach Israel.

Israel’s Channel 12 TV reported that dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have taken off from Iran and are heading for targets in Israel.

Retired General Amos Yadlin told Channel 12 TV that the drones each carry 20 kilograms of explosives and that Israel’s air defenses are ready to shoot them down.

Sirens will sound in threatened areas. It will take hours to reach Israel, the Israeli army announced.

Reports indicate that drones are being launched in waves (at least another one after the initial one) and that ballistic missiles are also expected to be launched around the time the drones (as many as they arrive) arrive in Israel, i.e. around 2pm.

“Our defense systems are deployed and we are prepared for any scenario”

“Our defense systems have been developed and we are prepared for any scenario, both in defense and attack. The State of Israel is strong, the IDF is strong.”

“We appreciate the US standing by Israel, as well as the support of the UK, France and many other countries.”

“I established a clear principle – whoever hurts us, we will hurt him. We will defend ourselves against any threat and we will do so with calmness and determination.”

“I know that you, the citizens of Israel, are also keeping your cool. I urge you to listen to the instructions of the Home Front Command.”

“Together we stand and with God’s help, together we will defeat all our enemies,” Netanyahu says.

The seizure of a ship of Israeli interests by the Revolutionary Guards in the Strait of Hormuz is seen as the latest episode of Iranian retaliation for Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

It is recalled that Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets from Lebanon into northern Israel, which were intercepted by the Israeli air defense, while according to information, Iran has up to 100 missiles ready. The question is whether he is doing it to respond to a possible provocation inside the country or to prepare a broad attack. “Don’t do it” was President Biden’s dramatic warning in Tehran.

Israel is “closely monitoring a planned attack” against it by Iran and Tehran’s allies in the region, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallad said, without giving details of the threat.

In his statement, Gallad states that Israelis should follow orders that may be issued by the Israeli army’s Homefront Command, which detects incoming missiles or air threats against the country to alert the population and to rush to the shelters.

Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari announced the cancellation of all school trips and events for the next few days and said the armed forces were on high alert.

Announcing the measures on television, Haggari said dozens of fighter jets were in the air as part of a state of alert.

It is worth noting that with an announcement from the White House, US President Joe Biden hastily returned to Washington, interrupting his weekend in Delaware, to consult with his Security Council team on events in the Middle East.
