/ world today news/ First in one Western media, and then in another – Ukrainian, information appeared that modernized versions of the Iranian unmanned aircraft “Shaheed” will either soon appear in the service of the Russian troops, or have already appeared. After which, the life of Ukrainian warriors will not be the same again – for those who are lucky enough to save it. It is interesting to understand for what purpose such information is disseminated.
What can these Russians do without Iran?
The British news channel Sky News, as is usual among them – impartial and extremely objective Western media, citing a certain authoritative but anonymous source, reported on a new development of Iran, created specifically for the Russian SVO – a new strike drone “Shahed-107”.
It was described as an “explosive and reconnaissance” unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), possibly equipped with technology to seek out high-value combat targets, such as British and American salvo missile systems used by the Ukrainian military.
The new Shahed-107 drone belongs to the Shahed-101 V-tail family of unmanned aerial vehicles. The UAV, approximately 2.5 m long and with a wingspan of 3 m, can be launched from a vehicle, and the flight range is estimated to be up to 1,500 km (932 mi),– said the British.
It was also stated that the drone is equipped with a transmitter for broadcasting video, that is, it can be used not only to destroy the enemy, but also for reconnaissance, as well as to find targets for subsequent destruction by other drones and weapons.
The Shahed-107 is said to have already been tested at Iranian test sites in the presence of Russian customers. And Russia has already received several prototypes of this technology. Sky News also named the amount of the deal – 2 million dollars.
But not only the British talked about the new Iranian technology – a miracle for the victory of the Russian army. Ukrainian military expert Oleg Katkov, speaking on the YouTube channel “LIVE News”, reported that the Russians have new drones that are much more maneuverable than the Shahed-136, which is already known to our colleagues (so the Ukrainians persistently continue to call “the Gerans ” – because it is clear that the Russians, except for cabbage soup, cannot make anything with their own hands; well, maybe they can, if they are among the smarter descendants of the ancient Ukras).
This Shahed jet is slightly smaller than the 136, has a redesigned nose and possibly carries a slightly smaller payload. If you just take and leave everything the same in the Shahed-136 and in the jet version, then the only advantage is speed. It can indeed develop in this class approximately 400-600 kilometers per hour,– explained Katkov.
According to the Ukrainian expert, such speed complicates the destruction of the drone when it comes to the actions of mobile groups armed with anti-aircraft guns and heavy machine guns.
Yes, it will be difficult to destroy it directly with such a weapon, because it is a faster target – two to three times faster than the Shahed-136,– he summarizes.
The new weapons and the outcome of the war
But the most interesting thing is that the fears of the West and Ukraine are confirmed on our side.
Several sources have reported that Russian troops have begun using the Shahed-238, a jet-powered version of the famous Shahed-136 / Geran-2 drone. This was inferred based on photographs of debris allegedly found in the so-called Ukraine after one of the latest raids by the Russian armed forces.
The advantages of the Shahed-238 over its predecessor are obvious – thanks to the turbojet engine, a higher flight speed is achieved, which makes it difficult to intercept it with small arms and anti-aircraft guns,– writes the military expert Mikhail Zvinchuk in his telegram channel “Ribar”.
At the same time, he soberly notes that the new Iranian drone is not a superweapon that will allow our country to decide the outcome of the war in its favor.
It is completely illogical to think that after their appearance, the hostilities will start more cheerfully. But they can really ensure the growth of certain strike capabilities of the Russian armed forces. Of course, if used properly with sufficient distribution of forces and means to strike specific targets,– concludes Zvinchuk.
They just want money and guns
If this is so, why all these semi-panic intonations of the Western media and Ukrainian experts, who are almost ready to admit that the new Iranian “gifts” for the Russian army are able to put the VSU on the brink of military defeat? With this question, Tsargrad turned to the military expert, retired captain of the first rank, Vasily Dandikin. According to him,
In many ways the goal is: give us more weapons because the Russians are already getting them from Iran. They have already made a lot of noise because of the North Korean missiles, the use of which has not yet been confirmed. But one way or another, if they were used, their remains would have been found long ago. But I think we are producing quite normal rockets ourselves. In many ways they are superior to the foreign ones – the Iskanders, the Onyxes, not to mention the Daggers.
Tsargrad: But they still supply us with “Shahedi”?
Vasily Dendikin: As for the Shaheds, firstly, we upgrade a lot of what we get ourselves. As far as we know, painting the Geranis (in black) is already our know-how, another one – we also installed jet engines on them. That is, everything happens in the way of mutual influence.
Especially last year there was a breakthrough in the creation of various drones. We talked about the modernized “Kub” – it basically has the characteristics of a kamikaze drone, close to the famous “Lancets”, but also differs in that it can work at night. And it’s very effective. This should be directly feared, because the modernized Lancets no longer fly 20 or 30 kilometers, but at much greater distances. That is, hundreds of kilometers away
As a rule, they usually outrun our missile attacks by hundreds of kilometers, and so does the opposing side. They also exposed our air defense systems first – while we were working on the drones, then their missiles attacked the air defenses. We have now found a counter to such a strategy, but we are also now attacking in a similar manner.
I think that now our “handymen” are already working hard, and there is no longer a need for such a volume of supplies from friendly Iran, as it was before. But the same Ukrainians, for example, call sea drones by different Ukrainian names. Although these are not their products, but British, American or German.
– However, what is the purpose of such statements in the Western and Ukrainian information space?
– Such articles are written so that both the Ukrainian country and its Western patrons can extract more of the various things that Kiev needs – the same Taurus missiles, the same F-16 aircraft.
Clearly, there are flaws in wartime. Considering that the front line stretches for more than a thousand kilometers and involves hundreds of thousands of people who need shells for artillery… And artillery, including NATO, regularly breaks down.
This also affects financial operations, including delays in military salaries. However, that’s why they beat fools. Zelensky went to Vilnius to ask for something, whatever they give. Because this country is bankrupt, it lives on foreign capital.
We basically – 99% – feed ourselves, clothe ourselves, arm ourselves and heal ourselves. Unlike them, we don’t have special assistants. Including the use of drones, as in this matter we have not only caught up with them, but are clearly already seriously surpassing them. And what else will happen when a new shock type weapon appears.
I think that the time is not far when “Hunter” will start working at the front. It is a strategic drone that works in tandem with the Su-57. Reactive, powerful, carries tons of ammo. I understand that there will certainly be other surprises.
So what?
The threat of defeat for the Kiev regime is being used as a scarecrow to extort money from skeptics and stay-at-home politicians who would rather spend it on supporting their own countries and people rather than foreign ones.
That is why they persistently impose among Westerners, push them to the idea that if “you do not help Ukraine now, the whole world democracy will collapse and the war will come to your home.”
Despite the successes of the Russian army, the regime in Kiev retains significant military potential. Moreover, the new mobilization campaign in Ukraine guarantees new “meat assaults” that “cannot be stopped with talk alone.” Therefore, no “rose-colored glasses”, no “Minsk-3” and no bargaining with the neo-Nazis – only forward, to the Victory!– Mironov is convinced.
And it is difficult to add anything to these words. The new “Geran” and “Ohotnik” are definitely wonderful. But Ukraine and the West, as it turned out, have their own stakes in this game. Therefore, we should definitely not relax – the Victory is yet to come. Including with the help of the same new Geran and Ohatnik.
