And it stated, “It was already known that Iran’s shipments were on the rise, but the data for the month of August will represent a significant increase if it is maintained for the remainder of the period.”
About two weeks ago, the head of the National Iranian Oil Company, Mohsen Khajesteh Mehr, announced that the volume of oil production in Iran will approach next September to 3.5 million barrels per day, compared to what it was at the beginning of the current government, that is, two years ago, when It was 2.2 million barrels per day.
“Oil production in Iran will increase by 150,000 barrels per day within a week from now, and it will increase by another 100,000 barrels in late September, to approach 3.5 million barrels per day,” Khajseteh Mehr said.
He also revealed that the second half of the current Iranian year (which began on March 21) will witness the conclusion of agreements worth $8 billion to develop two common fields between Iran and other countries.
Reuters reported earlier that Iran’s crude oil exports this year reached their highest level in 5 years, despite US sanctions in 2018.
