Iranian goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand will miss the team’s remaining games at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Khabaronline reports.
According to the source, the injury that the goalkeeper received in the 1st round group stage match with England (2:6) was serious. As previously reported in the media, the goalkeeper was hospitalized after the match due to a broken nose and a suspected concussion.
In the ninth minute of the match, Beiranvand accidentally collided with defender Majid Hosseini’s head. The goalkeeper was assisted for about ten minutes, he was able to continue the match, but a minute later he asked for a substitute and left the field on a stretcher, instead of him Hossein Hosseini entered the field in the 19th minute.
