Iranian General Mocking THAAD, Saying He Knows Israel’s Weaknesses

It can destroy short, medium and long ballistic missiles, inside and outside the atmosphere during the last phase of the flight or dive towards the target. THAAD interceptors are kinetic, destroying impact targets. The radar is very advanced, able to detect up to 3,000 kilometers.

As mentioned detikINET from Al Arabiya, the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) or the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, warned that Israel could not rely on THAAD.

“Don’t believe in this system (THAAD). You can’t murder Muslim countries and stay safe. We know your weaknesses. You (also) know it,” said Salami.

He also warned of further retaliation against Israel if the Jewish State attacks Iranian targets. Israel vowed to retaliate after the attack with hundreds of missiles from Iran on October 1.

“If you make a mistake and attack our targets, whether in the region or in Iran, we will attack you again painfully,” Salami said.

Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel on October 1, with several missiles successfully hitting central and southern Israel. Israel’s defense system, which includes Iron Dome, David’s Sling to Arrow 2 and 3, is considered very vulnerable if attacked. Therefore, about 100 US soldiers were sent to Israel to operate THAAD.

Regarding the use of troops, Iran has also issued a warning. “The US has sent a large number of weapons to Israel. Now the US is also endangering the lives of its soldiers by using them to operate US missile systems in Israel,” said Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi .
