The Iranian minister confirmed that the trend was towards a political solution in Gaza, stressing his country’s unwillingness to expand the war. In return, he warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that any Israeli attack on Lebanon would mean its last day.

Abdullahian announced from Beirut, where he arrived on Friday, that developments in Gaza are moving towards a political solution, indicating in a press conference with his Lebanese counterpart, Abdullah Bouhabib, on Saturday evening, that Iran and Lebanon did not seek to expand the scope of the war in the region, and stressed that war is not the solution. .

In a press conference at the conclusion of his visit to Beirut, Abdullahian said: “Tel Aviv cannot fight a war on two fronts,” warning that “any step by Israel regarding launching a large-scale attack on Lebanon will end the status quo in the region.” Abdullahian added, “Any Israeli attack on Lebanon will mean the last day for (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu,” considering that the latter is “futilely seeking to get out of the Gaza quagmire.”

He pointed out that “the meeting with Mikati is the continuation of talks with Lebanon, and consulting with the officials of this country is one of Iran’s important priorities,” stressing “Iran’s strong support for the stability and security of Lebanon,” and speaking of the attempt by “some to create a dispute between the government and the people in Lebanon and the resistance, but they “They did not succeed.”

In turn, Mikati described the situation in the region as “changing and complex,” stressing “the importance of the Gaza and Palestine issue, and the necessity of continuing efforts aimed at reaching an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.” He said: “We look forward to peace and stability in the region, and efforts must be made to end the war on Gaza and remove the danger of expanding the scope of the war in the region.”

Hezbollah announced a meeting between Abdullahian and Nasrallah, noting in a statement that “the latest political and security developments in the region were reviewed, especially in the Gaza Strip, southern Lebanon, and the rest of the fronts of the axis of resistance, and the near future of the situation in Lebanon was discussed.” And the region.”
