Iranian Foreign Minister reveals his country’s willingness to renew ties with Saudi Arabia and open an embassy in Riyadh

Al-Marsad newspaper: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has expressed his country’s desire to re-establish relations with Saudi Arabia and to open an embassy in Riyadh.

And the Iranian foreign minister said during the “Third Tehran Forum for Dialogue” that his country is ready to resume relations with Saudi Arabia and to open the two countries’ embassies.

The Iranian minister also expressed his country’s willingness to hold a meeting at the level of defense and foreign ministers of neighboring countries and countries bordering the Gulf.

It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia had previously confirmed its readiness to resume positive relations with Iran, but on condition that Tehran revises its policy of supporting militias in Yemen and other Arab countries, and refrains from seeking to build a nuclear bomb, which threatens the security of the region.
