As Manteki reported, the contracts were signed by the parties during the MAKS-2015 air show, which was held in Zhukovsky (Moscow region) at the end of August.

“During our participation in the MAKS air show in Russia, we signed contracts for the purchase of aerospace equipment from Russia worth a total of $21 billion, including Russian Superjet 100 aircraft,” the agency quoted Manteki as saying. He did not specify the number of planes that Iran will buy, nor the amount of the contracts for the purchase of the Superjet 100 planes.

The representative of Tehran also added that “Russian space production is generally recognized and we always seek to expand cooperation in this field.”
