The United States (US) said Iran would supply drones or drone to Russia. According to him, the drones had been armed to attack Ukrainian territory.
A top US official said Iran plans to supply hundreds of the drones. White House security official Jake Sullivan said the information received by the US supported the claim.
“The Iranian government is preparing to provide Russia with up to several hundred UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles), including weapons-capable UAVs, at an accelerated time,” Sullivan told reporters.

“Our information further indicates that Iran is preparing to train Russian troops to use these UAVs, with initial training sessions scheduled to begin in early July,” he said.
Sullivan said it was not yet known whether Iran had sent the drone or not. However, he said Iranian drones had been used by the Houthi rebels in Yemen to attack Saudi Arabia.
It is said, Ukrainian troops can be judged to be successful in using combat UAVs armed with Bayraktar made by Turkey, the US and other allies. These countries have supplied Kyiv with many types of small drones.
“From our point of view, we will continue to do our part to help maintain Ukraine’s effective defense and to help Ukraine show that Russia’s attempts to try to wipe Ukraine off the map will not work,” Sullivan said.
