Iran: Saudi Arabia condemns Karman attack

We affirm our rejection and condemnation of the terrorist attacks targeting civilians in Iran

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the attack that occurred yesterday in the Karman cemetery, in Iran, during the celebrations for the anniversary of the death of Qasem Soleimani.

Riyadh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rejection and condemnation of terrorist attacks targeting civilians in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In a statement he expressed his sincere condolences, sympathy and solidarity with Iran for this painful event, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

Yesterday in Iran, 103 people were killed and 188 others injured following two explosions that occurred near the tomb of Soleimani, former commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, coinciding with the commemoration of the fourth anniversary of his killing by a US air strike in Iraq, as reported by Iranian media and official bodies.

Subsequently, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi announced that “the situation in Kerman is now normal and under the control of the security forces.”
