Then an official US source told CNN on Tuesday that the US and Saudi Arabia had exchanged information indicating that Iran could plan an imminent attack on energy infrastructure in the Middle East, specifically Saudi Arabia.

A Saudi official also told CNN that the kingdom had shared information about a possible attack with the United States, but the source did not provide details. The Wall Street Journal first reported that there were indications of a possible Iranian attack.
