TEHRAN – Anti-government protests in Iran have entered their fourth week. Protesters and police clashed on Tuesday in the cities of Sanandaj, Banay and Zakes in the Kurdish regions. 125 people were arrested from the provinces of Tehran and Hormozgan. Supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei accused Iran’s foreign enemies of being behind the uprising.
About 30 women demonstrated in Tehran shouting slogans against Khamenei. The strike also continues in the universities. Tehran lawyers also demonstrated in support. The unrest began on the 17th after the death of Mahsa Amini (22), who was arrested by the police for not wearing the hijab correctly.
