Iran has warned the United States that there will be consequences if it cooperates with Israel in an eventual response to the attack it launched on Saturday against the Hebrew country.
The chief of staff of the Persian country’s Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, noted that if US bases in the Middle East become involved in any action taken against Iran, “they will not have security.”
Bagheri explained that Iran launched its attack after Israel crossed “red lines” by bombing the Iranian Consulate in Damascus on April 1. Likewise, he stressed that “there is no intention” to continue attacking, although if Tel Aviv “took measures” against Tehran, “whether on our soil or in our centers in Syria or elsewhere,” Iranian operations against the Jewish country “They will be much bigger.”
In this context, he stressed that, although Iran’s capabilities allowed it to carry out an attack “tens of times larger,” they decided not to do so. In particular, he pointed out that his action was “punishment”, but without affecting the economic or “population” centers so that Israel “knew” that its “aggressive and criminal action” in the Gaza Strip “will not remain without answer”.
“I hope this successful operation is a precedent for the victory of the oppressed Palestinian people against the occupying regime,” he stated.
