TEHERAN, KOMPAS.com – President Iran Hassan Rouhani accused United States of America ( AS) have committed “outrage” for causing Iran to lose 150 billion US dollars (Rp. 2,240 trillion) as a result penalty which was dropped.
He expressed this on Saturday (26/09/2020) and said Iran should direct their anger towards White House.
“With illegal and inhuman sanctions and terrorist acts, the US has inflicted a loss of 150 billion US dollars (Rp 2,240 trillion) on the Iranian people,” Rouhani said on state television.
Rouhani’s voice sounded trembling with wrath Reuters.

“We have never seen such widespread barbarism … The address for the condemnation and hatred of the Iranian people is the White House,” added Rouhani.
Tensions between Washington and Tehran have risen since US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the deal nuclear Iran in 2018.
Even though the agreement was initiated by Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama.
After withdrawing from the agreement, Trump began reimposing sanctions on Iran that had been reduced under the agreement.

Iran does not accept US treatment and has gradually violated the accord according to the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA).
Iranian violations include exceeding the limit of enrichment uranium permitted for nuclear purposes.
On Monday (21/9/2020), Washington imposed new sanctions on the Iranian Ministry of Defense and other parties involved in Iran’s nuclear and weapons programs.
On Thursday (9/24/2020), the US blacklisted several Iranian officials and entities for alleged gross violations of human rights (HAM).

On the list, there are the names of judges who are said to be involved in the case of the Iranian wrestler who was sentenced to death.
Rouhani did not provide details about the economic damage and losses he claims have been caused by the sanctions.
