Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Massive cyber attacks attack the distribution system of fuel oil (BBM) online in Iran. This affected gas stations across the country and led to long queues of citizens’ vehicles.

After a few hours, several gas stations were able to serve residents again. However, on average, they operated manually at a rate twice the subsidy offered through the government’s smart card.
State television and officials said the origins of the hackers were being investigated. The government says it is likely a foreign state sponsored attack.
“It may be sponsored by a foreign country,” said Iran’s Supreme Cyber World Council, quoted Wednesday (10/27/2021).
Iran frequently experiences high-level sabotage attacks. One of them related to the explosion of the main nuclear facility at Natanz, suddenly.
The government blames Israel. But for this fuel issue, Iran has not named a country, saying it is “too early”.
Meanwhile, videos of residents snaking at gas stations have gone viral on social media. Some netizens made critical comments to the government.
“Khamenei, where is our gasoline,” wrote one internet user addressing the country’s supreme leader.
Residents queuing for gas stations also complained. Because they have to wait several hours to fill up with gas.
“I’ve been waiting a few hours for the gas station to reopen so I can fill it up,” said a motorcyclist who gave his name only as Farzin, quoted as saying Washington Post.
“No fuel everywhere I go.”
