Iran also highlight the new government Afghanistan which has been announced by Taliban.

Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Shamkhani, is concerned that the new Afghan government structure is not inclusive.

Through a tweet on Twitter on Wednesday (8/9), Shamkhani considered the top priority for Afghanistan today is stability, security and peace.

“Ignoring the need to form an inclusive government, foreign intervention and the use of military means instead of dialogue to meet the demands of ethnic and social groups are the main concerns of Afghan society,” Shamkhani was quoted as saying by the news agency. IRNA.

Earlier this week, Iran also strongly condemned the military aggression of the Taliban against forces loyal to Ahmad Massoud in the Panjshir Valley.

Massoud’s loyalists known as the National Resistance Force (NRF) are an opposition group to the Taliban regime that controls the Panjshir Valley.

The Taliban claimed to have captured Panjshir after fighting fiercely with the NRF over the past few days. However, Massoud refuted the claim by saying that he and his troops were still holding out in Panjshir.

“The news coming from Panjshir is really worrying. Iran strongly condemns the (Taliban) attack,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh told reporters in Tehran.

“Regarding the Panjshir issue, I insist on the fact that it should be resolved by dialogue in front of all elders in Afghanistan,” Khatibzadeh added.

Khatibzadeh said the Taliban must respect their obligations under international law and their commitments.

“Iran will work to end all the suffering of the Afghan people in order to establish a government that represents all Afghans,” Khatibzadeh was quoted as saying. AFP.

Khatibzadeh also alluded to Pakistan in his statement. It said Iran “condemns all foreign interference” in Afghan affairs. “

Pakistan is known to be close to the Taliban. Afghanistan’s neighbor is one of three countries that recognized the Taliban regime in 1996-2001.

Meanwhile, Iran, which is also adjacent to Afghanistan, never recognized the Taliban when it came to power 25 years ago.

So far, Iran has hosted nearly 3.5 million Afghans who fled the conflict over the past two decades. Tehran is also concerned that the rise of the Taliban in Afghanistan will encourage an exodus of new refugees to Iran.
