/ world today news/ On December 23, the “Tehran International Conference on Palestine” was held in the Iranian capital, which seeks support from the international community for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. This was stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran.
The statement also stated that the one-day meeting aims to strengthen international support for the oppressed Palestinian people in Gaza by providing more humanitarian aid. Another main goal of the conference is to increase pressure on the “Zionist regime” to completely stop the oppression, military attacks, sieges and blockades in Gaza.
Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi delivered a speech at the meeting in which he condemned the United States’ “global hegemonic system” for violating human rights in Gaza and called on Washington to stop dictating the region’s future.
The meeting was attended by political, religious and media figures and scientists from more than 50 countries.
