“Washington must ensure that no government in the United States mocks the world and international law and does not repeat this behavior to withdraw from the agreement,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said Monday.

Khatibzadeh also reiterated other demands to the White House. “They must lift the oppressive and effective sanctions completely,” he said.

“Iran will not cease its compensatory actions until it is confident that US sanctions will be lifted effectively and can be verified with necessary and objective guarantees,” the spokesman said.

Khatibzadeh’s comments came after Iran’s top nuclear negotiator, Ali Bagheri Kani, confirmed last week that discussions to amend the agreement would resume on November 29 in Vienna.
