Iran Claims Arrest of Mossad Agents, Seizure of Weapons and Grenades

TEHERAN – Iran claiming to have caught the agent of a spy organization Israel , Mossad , on the western border of the country. This was announced directly by the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence.

“Following the intelligence activities of Iran’s Intelligence Ministry forces, a network of members of the Zionist regime’s Spy Organization (Mossad) was arrested on the western border of the country,” the Iranian Intelligence Ministry’s director general of counterintelligence was quoted as saying by the Iranian news agency,More, Tuesday (27/7/2021).

He added that a large number of weapons and ammunition, including pistols, grenades, Winchester rifles, shotguns and ammunition were also seized during the arrest operation.

The Iranian Intelligence Ministry said: Mossad agent agen intends to use the equipment during riots and assassinations. The ministry also said that during election days, Israel repeatedly attempted to carry out acts of sabotage in various parts of the country but was thwarted.

There has been no response from Israel regarding this Iranian claim.

The announcement comes amid demonstrations over the water crisis that erupted in Iran. The demonstrations have also spread to the capital Tehran with demonstrators chanting slogans against Iran’s rulers.

“The clerics are clearly lost,” protesters shouted in a video, referring to the clerics in power in Iran.

Another video shows protesters chanting “death to the dictator,” a chant used regularly in anti-government demonstrations in Iran against the country’s highest authority, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
