TEHERAN – Tehran officials offer words of support to the Gaza militias, Palestine , who was involved in massive conflict with Israel . Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said the Zionist regime only understands the language of violence, for that Palestine must increase its strength.

Khamenei lambasted what he called Israel’s “evil behavior” after the Jewish state’s security forces stormed Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque on Friday. Zionist forces harass worshipers at mosques at a time of heightened tensions stemming from Israeli efforts to forcibly evict Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah’s neighborhood.

Until today (12/5/2021), tensions have continued to rise, where militant groups such as Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad have fired hundreds of rockets and missiles. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out air strikes in the Gaza Strip. This is the worst escalation between the two sides in recent years.

“Palestinians are aware and determined,” Khamenei said via social media. “They must continue on this path. One can only speak the language of force with these criminals,” he said, referring to Israel.

“They (Palestinians) must increase their strength, stand firm, face the enemy, and force them to stop their crimes.”

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also spoke about the conflict on Tuesday, and he also blamed Israel’s actions.

In roughly two minutes in Arabic posted to Twitter on Tuesday, Zarif cited Israel’s recent incursion of the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of Jerusalem as the greatest evidence of the racist and criminal nature of the power-usurping entity.

“It has always been a major cause of insecurity and instability in the region,” said Zarif.

Furthermore, Zarif offered a more democratic solution for Palestine in order to realize his dream of having an independent state.

“It must be said that there is only one just solution to the Palestinian problem,” said Zarif. “We have expressed it at the United Nations and at the Organization for Islamic Cooperation, and this is to refer to a popular referendum which will determine its future and its destiny.”

The idea was first put forward by Khamenei about seven years ago. Israel and Palestine have made little diplomatic progress since then and remain at a stalemate.

Despite offering the idea of a referendum, Iran continues to consider providing weapons technology to Gaza militia groups such as Hamas.
