TEHERANIsrael has long accused Iran of wanting nuclear weapons. The Zionist regime also lobbied the United States (US) to withdraw from the landmark nuclear agreement on Iran.

The Islamic Republic of Iran rejects accusations that its peaceful nuclear program has a military aspect. Tehran pointed to Israel’s own alleged nuclear stockpile, which Tel Aviv neither confirmed nor denied.

A senior Iranian diplomat has summoned International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) director Rafael Grossi for comments recently in an interview about why the nuclear watchdog obsessively monitors Tehran’s nuclear activities while ignoring Israel’s actions.

“What are the benefits of being a member of the (Non-Proliferation Treaty) and fully implementing the Body’s protections?” asked Kazem Gharib Abadi, Iran’s ambassador to UN agencies in Vienna, asked in a tweet on Friday (15/10/2021).

“How can people see the IAEA as a serious, professional and impartial partner if it does not pursue an equitable and fair implementation of the protection regime for all its members?” said the diplomat.

Gharib Abadi accompanied the tweet with a screenshot of an excerpt from Grossi’s October 8 interview with Energy Intelligence, where he was asked why the IAEA is spending so much time focusing on Iran’s nuclear program while effectively ignoring Israel.
