Iran Arrests 11 Suspects Over Twin Blasts: ISIS Claims Responsibility for Kerman Explosions

Eleven people suspected of being involved in the twin blasts in Iran have been arrested. Iranian intelligence also said that two people who helped in the attack were taken into custody. Arrests have been made from five cities. No further information has been released.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the explosions in the southern city of Kerman on Wednesday. 103 people were killed in the blast. About 150 people were injured.

The explosion took place in the southeastern city of Kerman, Iran. The first blast took place 700 meters away from General Suleimani’s tomb and the second one a kilometer away. On the anniversary of Soleimani’s death, many people gathered at the tomb to commemorate him, who was very popular in Iran. These are the most killed in the explosion.

Iran’s President Ibrahim Raeesi said that no one who planned a terrorist attack would be spared. The Iranian Vice President stated that Zionist agents and their aides are behind it. The Quds Force commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard had alleged that the hands of America and Israel were clear. The former spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Health, Dr. Kianush Jahanpur asked. In the meantime, the United States has stated that it has no role in the explosion. The Israeli military spokesman said that it is fully focused on the Gaza war and will not comment.
