“Both Iran and North Korea plan to deliver prohibited weapons to Russia, including prohibited drones, in violation of the UN resolution. We know that Iran is currently considering the possibility of transferring hundreds of ballistic missiles to Russia, also in violation of the resolution of the Supreme Rada. She also noted that North Korea has officially declared that it does not support Russia’s war in Ukraine, but then sent missiles and other weapons to the Russian mercenary group Wagner, in direct violation of the UN resolution.

“We are experiencing that North Korea is planning to send more military equipment to the Wagner group, we condemn North Korea’s actions and call on it to stop such deliveries and fully comply with the UN resolution. We also invite everyone to join this call,” she emphasized.

Thomas-Greenfield also stressed that all countries should unite and demand that Russia end the war.

“Now is the time for all countries to unite and demand that Russia end this senseless war. We need to unite and defend the UN Charter and its basic principles in order to achieve peace. We will do everything we can to end the suffering both in Ukraine and beyond.” summed up the UN ambassador.

John Kirby, the US National Security Council’s strategic communications coordinator, has stated that North Korea is secretly supplying Russia with a significant amount of artillery shells. North Korea delivered a batch of weapons to the Wagner group at the end of last year. The US believes that the amount of these weapons will not change the dynamics of the war, but is concerned that North Korea will supply more weapons.

Journalists learned in the summer that Iran had sold kamikaze drones to Russia. Russia uses them in attacks on Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, which cause a lot of damage, casualties and casualties.
