Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations said the findings showed Israel was responsible for the attempted act of what he called aggression. Iran, he said, reserves the right to respond decisively to any threats or wrongful actions by Israel.
In a letter to the UN secretary-general, the Iranian ambassador accused Israel of seeking to carry out a terrorist attack on the workshop complex belonging to Iran’s Defense Ministry. He did not specify what evidence Iran has for these allegations.
He said Iran reserves the right to respond wherever and whenever it deems necessary, as quoted from BBCThursday (2/2/2023).
The purpose of the site that was attacked is unclear, although reports suggest it could be linked to missile production.

Israel has neither confirmed nor denied it was behind the attack, which Iran says caused minor damage, although this has not been independently verified.
US media quoted unnamed state officials as saying Israel carried out the attack, which Iran says involved three drones, on Saturday night at around 11:30 p.m. local time.
Iran said one drone was destroyed by its air defense system and two were captured by a “defensive entrapment”, causing minor damage to a building and no casualties.
The two countries are sworn enemies and in recent years have engaged in what has been described as a “shadow war” of unclaimed attacks on each other’s assets, infrastructure and citizens.
