Iran accuses Israel and Western intelligence of planning a civil war in the Islamic Republic

accused Iran On Thursday, Israel and Western intelligence services conspired to ignite a civil war in the Islamic Republic, which is witnessing one of the biggest Anti-government protests Since the 1979 revolution.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian wrote on Twitter: “Many security agencies, Israel and some Western politicians who have drawn up plans for Iran’s civil war, destruction and disintegration should know that Iran is not Libya or Sudan”.

Tehran accuses its Western enemies of fueling unrest across the country, involving Iranians from all walks of life, sparked by the Sept. 16 death of Iranian Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini after she was arrested by morality police for allegedly inappropriate clothing.

362 people were killed

The news agency of human rights activists (Hrana) reported that 362 people were killed protests which has been going on for almost two months, involving 56 minors. He added that 56 members of the security forces were killed and the authorities arrested 16,033.

And state media said Hassan Yousefi, a police colonel, was stabbed to death on Thursday in the city of Sanandaj, which is located in the Kurdistan region of northwestern Iran.

A video clip released by the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRNA) official news agency showed protesters attacking the municipality building and other public properties in West Azerbaijan province.

Iran saw a wave of attacks on Wednesday. Seven people were killed in the southwestern city of Izeh in what state media described as a “terrorist attack”.

Separate violence

In separate acts of violence, gunmen riding a motorcycle fired bullets at a number of security force members in Isfahan, in the center of the country, killing two and wounding eight, according to state television.

No group has claimed responsibility for the two attacks, which state television attributed to “rioters”.

Amini’s death and the protests that followed drew international condemnation from Iran, which struggled to quell the unrest and blamed it on foreign enemies and their domestic agents.

The Judicial News Agency Mizan said five people arrested during the protests were sentenced to death.

Amnesty International said in a tweet on Twitter that Iranian authorities are seeking to impose the death penalty on at least 21 people “in show trials designed to intimidate participants in the popular uprising that has rocked Iran since September and dissuade others from join the movement.”
