Jakarta, Selular.ID – A person who modified an Apple iPhone X with a Type-C charging slot has managed to sell the device on eBay for $86,001 or equivalent to Rp. 1.2 billion.
The iPhone X Type-C device was created by robotics student Ken Pillonel, who is studying for a Master’s degree in Robotics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
“The world’s first iPhone with a USB Type-C port supports charging and data transfer. The first development is to get the technical side of the phone’s performance through these changes, then engineer the Apple C94 connector model and make a PCB with a USB C port, “explained Ken.
Ken’s appeal to new owners of the iPhone X with a Type-C charging slot is that buyers must agree not to restore, update or use it as their daily driver, the deal also includes an optional 30-minute call with the maker if they have any technical questions about the rare iPhone.
And indeed it seems that the iPhone buyers are collectors and it is undeniable that the unique iPhone X is the only one in the world. And is the iPhone X 64 GB variant in black, and only comes with a sales box and does not include accessories.
