Ammon – Some iPhones suffer from problems connecting to Wi-Fi networks after upgrading them to Apple’s new operating system, iOS 17, according to testimonies from some users.
The 9to5mac website reported, citing some users who said that they experienced unusual slowness when connecting to Wi-Fi networks, and some applications became unable to download their content after installing the new iOS 17 system.
Other users stated that the connection to Wi-Fi networks may sometimes be interrupted for no apparent reason, while the connection remains stable on the rest of the devices connected to the same network.
The problem is observed when using traditional applications that rely on an Internet connection, which stop working or fail to load content. According to published testimonies, the affected devices may reconnect on their own after a few minutes, or users are forced to resort to the first solution that comes to their mind, which is manually disabling the connection to the network and then activating it.
The problem appeared more clearly in the new iPhone 15 phones. It has iOS 17 installed by default, while the problem began to appear in other iPhones after installing the new system.
Apple has not officially commented on these reports, and it is not known how widespread they are among users.
Apple had launched several recent sub-updates to solve some problems, such as the overheating problem and the data transfer problem in the iPhone 15 phones, in addition to security fixes.
Users affected by the problem hope that it will be resolved with upcoming updates, the closest of which is the iOS 17.1 update, which is still in the beta phase in preparation for its launch soon.
