iPhone: The emergency call feature has been redesigned

Although iOS 15.1 has been released to the public, Apple has already made the beta available for iOS 15.2.

In this beta we see some interesting features. At the level of, or at the level of, the privacy rules of the applications Display of alerts, But also at the level of an emergency call.

At the moment, to access emergency services, it is necessary to make a quick click on the side button. In addition to calling for help, the smartphone sends a message with the location to the emergency contact (built into the health app). You can also contact the emergency room by holding down one of the side buttons and the volume buttons. This feature is currently available in iOS 15.1, but is disabled by default. This shortcut usually shows the phone’s power button, medical card and emergency call start button. Once on this screen, you will hold down the side buttons for a long time to trigger a five-second countdown.

In the new iOS 15 version, you can choose between the two modes. You can make an emergency call by pressing the side buttons or using the five-page click method. You have the opportunity to choose between these two methods.

Another innovation in the emergency call functionality is that in iOS 15.2, the call is triggered automatically after eight seconds. Previously, the countdown was three seconds after five clicks on the side buttons.

The beta version of iOS 15.2 will be tested in a few weeks before the planned update.
