Ming-Chi Kuo claims that sales of the iPhone SE 2022 were not so good that Apple decided to cut production by 20 percent.
A few days ago, there was a report stating that the sale iPhone SE 2022 experienced a decline when compared to its predecessor. Of course, this is quite surprising because previously, it was estimated that sales of this device would be very high.
There are several things that drive the high sales forecast for this device. Some of them are network support 5G and the price is arguably quite cheap for the specifications offered.
Due to the lack of enthusiasm for sales of these devices, Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple has taken a big step. Like several other devices that did not meet expectations, the number of production was cut.
Reported from Ubergizmo (30/3), the production cut made by the Cupertino company for the iPhone SE 2022 is quite large. They cut about 20 percent of their total production initially.
Some say, the decline in user interest in this device is due to several things. The first is because the design of the iPhone SE 2022 is still using the iPhone 8 model.
This is reasonable to do because Apple does not have to spend R&D costs to make new devices, which will increase production costs. The absence of Face ID is also another reason.
Not to forget, users say that the price of the iPhone 13 series, which has the same SoC and 5G support, is quite affordable. What’s more, the iPhone 13 mini, whose price is indeed not too expensive.
On the other hand, until now, Apple has not officially announced the sale of iPhone SE 2022 units. Usually, they will immediately share the results of their sales if they exceed their target.
