The increase in the price of smartphones has actually continued to occur over the past few years, including cellphones made by Apple, which are now in great demand among gadget users.

According to research from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), the CIRP survey found that the average selling price for an iPhone is $988 (Rp. 14.4 million) or nearly $1,000 (Rp. 14.6 million) as of March 2023.

This figure is the highest recorded in the history of the iPhone.

When compared to the same period last year, the average selling price of an iPhone was US$882 or equivalent to Rp.12.9 million.

That is, the average selling price of the 2023 iPhone will increase by almost 100 dollars.

Even though in March 2021, the average selling price of an iPhone was US$847. In other words, the increase in the average selling price of an iPhone in 2022 will only be around $35.

The reason for the increase in the average price of the iPhone 2023 being higher is due to the popularity of the iPhone 14 Pro. Apart from that, the increase in iPhone prices was also influenced by the existence of the iPhone mini which was replaced by the iPhone Plus.

The reason is, the price of the iPhone Plus is priced higher than the Mini version.

The iPhone 13 mini, for example, sells for 699 US dollars (Rp. 10.2 million). The price is much cheaper than the iPhone 14 Plus, which starts at $899 (Rp. 13.2 million). In addition, the iPhone Plus variant is also considered more popular than the Mini version.
