Febri Hendri Antoni Arief, spokesman for the Ministry of Industry, said that his party is currently processing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) certificate so that Apple’s main technology products can be marketed in Indonesia.
According to him, the TKDN certification process is related to the investment commitment of the company from the United States, to build an Apple Academy in Indonesia.
“If it is realized, they will get a TKDN certificate and can sell the iPhone 16. So now that’s canceled,” Febri reportedly said. Between.
Febri said the length of the TKDN certification process depends on the investment performance report made by Apple.
“If someone sells an iPhone 16, it’s illegal because they didn’t get a certificate,” Febri said.
In addition, he said that his party encouraged Apple to increase the performance of investment in Indonesia so that it can help increase the potential business human resources (HR).
“So that there will be more, and many Indonesians can study at Apple Academy,” he added.
