Apple is announcing the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models this September with another bunch of changes. It is expected that the company will offer a wide range of variations in terms of design, as well as change the layout of the buttons. However, it’s never too early to think about what future versions of the iPhone might offer users. A new iPhone 16 Pro concept has surfaced online that shows a completely redesigned camera layout and action button.
Previously, there were rumors that Apple will release iPhone 15 Pro models with long single volume buttons. Later it became known that the company will leave this feature for Pro-models. This year, the company is expected to retain separate physical keys similar to the iPhone 14 Pro models. In this case, the iPhone 16 Pro concept didn’t stray far from its current look, introducing separate volume buttons. The concept builds on the idea that Apple will release iPhone 16 Pro models with a similar button layout to current models.
In addition, the concept also suggests an action button, which is rumored to appear in the iPhone 15 Pro models. The action button on the iPhone 15 Pro will be similar to the action button on the Apple Watch. It can be configured to perform specific functions, such as activating Siri, launching a specific app, or adding a command. The action button sits above the volume buttons and is about the same size as the mute switch.
One of the major design changes highlighted by the iPhone 16 Pro concept is the camera unit. The concept is two pairs of cameras, vertically mounted in the body. The camera hardware shows the main camera, wide-angle lens, and periscope lens, which is also rumored to be coming to the iPhone 15 Pro models. In addition, the LiDAR scanner and flash are placed diagonally inside the camera platform. The concept presents the device in various color options.
It looks pretty bold, so there are doubts about how far Apple can go in this direction. Although every year the size of the camera block continues to increase and its design can hardly be called attractive.
