iPhone 16 Pro Camera Leaks: Major Improvements and Upgrades Unveiled for Fall 2024 Release

New leaks revealed major improvements expected in the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro camera, and here it concerns the camera with the ultra-wide sensor, which will receive a major improvement in the phone that will come in the fall of 2024 compared to the previous generation.

Apple is laying out its plans to improve the next generation of its leading phones, the iPhone 16, which will likely come in the same configuration as previous years, as it will be a family of 4 devices, the regular model and the Plus model in addition to the Pro and Pro Max models.

According to leaks published by famous analyst Ming-Chi Qiu, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models will be the first Apple phones to contain more than one 48-megapixel sensor in the rear camera, making the telephoto camera the only one on the back of the phone. With a resolution of 12 megapixels.

Kuo explained, in his blog on the Medium website, that the ultra-wide camera on the iPhone 16 Pro will contain a 48-megapixel sensor. The upgrade is supposed to allow the camera to capture more light, leading to improved images when shooting in 0.5x mode, especially In low light or night situations.

It is noteworthy that the iPhone 14 Pro, Pro Max, 15 Pro and Pro Max devices already contain a 48-megapixel main camera that uses pixel binning technology to combine data from four pixels on the sensor into one large pixel unit to improve low-light capture.

As for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro, this technology is expected to expand to include the ultra-wide lens, a lens whose resolution in the previous two generations was only 12 megapixels.

This means that the upcoming phones will also be able to capture 48-megapixel ProRAW images in ultra-wide mode, as these images will retain more details in the image file for more editing and adjustment flexibility, and can be printed in large sizes.

This is not the first time that leaks indicate this upcoming change. Last year, analyst Jeff Bo claimed that the iPhone 16 Pro would contain a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and only a few months later, more details emerged about this Apple plan. .
