iPhone 16: No more stickers in the packaging

Apple has decided to change tradition and not include stickers in the boxes containing the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. The company has confirmed that these stickers will only be available upon request at the Apple Store.

Here’s what we know

If you purchase your iPhone 16 from an Apple Store, you can request the stickers at the time of purchase. However, third-party sellers and carriers will not receive the stickers for distribution and they cannot be ordered with shipping.

The move is part of Apple’s environmental initiatives, which aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030. By 2024, Apple is focusing on packaging made entirely of fiber and plans to eliminate plastic elements from its packaging by next year.

This decision is not new, as box stickers have disappeared from other new Apple products, like the Vision Pro and the new iPad Pro and iPad Air.
