As iPhone 16 receives some criticism. Air Apple Users are complaining about Community Support forums and platforms like Reddit iOS 18, which puts a huge strain on the phone’s battery.
Since the beta of iOS 18, there have been complaints online about batteries that drain quickly, but at the time those complaints were about older Apple smartphones. This time it’s about the new one iPhone 16series, launched last month.
Users report, among other things, a battery percentage of 60 percent after half a day, without using the phone. Of course, the new models have a lot of new features, but even with some disabled functions, things don’t seem to be getting better.
The problem with the iPhone 16 stopped
It seems that the iPhone 16 models consume a lot of battery mostly in standby mode. Based on the battery data within the settings, users report that a lot of background activity is measured during these times.
One user even says: “Something is definitely going on at Apple. This morning I charged my phone at 95 percent and it held that charge for 20 minutes. Then things started to slow down and I was ‘loss of one per cent every five minutes without even getting in. it was close.’
On Reddit one user even experimented with his ex iPhone 14 Pro, where the battery was still at 85 percent after 36 hours, while the iPhone 16 Pro’s battery was only at 58 percent.
Sounds like an Apple problem
It is difficult to identify such problems, because everyone uses their iPhone in a different way. But turning off features like ProMotion, Always On, Widgets and Background Refresh should make a difference. That doesn’t seem to be the case now.
Some users are reporting improvements from the iOS 18.0.1 update, but it certainly doesn’t seem to be working for everyone. And if so many people are reporting problems, something must be going on.
In addition to battery issues, some iPhone 16 Pro users also reported that their devices crash regularly and restart again.
